Chronic Pain? Matcha Can Help With That!

By Eric Brinkman

Chronic Pain? Matcha Can Help With That!

If you're any bit like me, you spend the weekends or evenings doing your best to enjoy life's offerings in the outdoors! Often, long hours on a bike, snowboard, or even just your feet are deemed taxing for the human body. Are sore muscles, sore feet, bad back a common pain in your ass? Well, guess what! Matcha can help you recover from these sorts of pains.

For the longest time, I stood by the core principles of matcha, like weight-loss and energy. However, I hadn't studied much of its anti-inflammatory qualities. Recently, we received a call from a customer requesting matcha for his bad back pain. I asked him more about his story, and he had a serious car accident 5 months prior. The gentleman mentioned had tried everything, but only matcha had really helped his back. Now, it is part of his daily routine, and he can't live without it. For a similar story, read here.

I've outlined the two major reasons matcha can help with inflammation below:

1) The EGCGs in Matcha inhibit the activation of white blood cells, making Matcha a promising anti-inflammatory substance.

2) These EGCGs contain a compound that block the production of cells that can damage bone.

How To Make Hydrating Matcha Face Scrub ( 3 Ingredients Only!)

How To Make Hydrating Matcha Face Scrub ( 3 Ingredients Only!)

Did you know, similar to the healing effects matcha has when ingested, it’s great for healing when applied topically as well!

Thanks to the high content of chlorophyll, not only does it act as a great detoxifying agent, it is also a great source of antioxidants that have anti-inflammatory and healing properties for your skin. We’d like to share all these great, natural healing properties of the matcha you know and love. So, we’ve branched out to bring you our Matcha Hydration Scrub. A balanced combo of a gentle sugar scrub to rid your skin of unwanted dirt, the soothing properties of coconut oil, and of course our Matcha Green Tea.

Steps

1) Set your ingredients out on the counter. It's much easier to create the face scrub when everything is within reaching distance.

2) Whisk water and matcha together till diluted. Only add enough water to make a matcha paste. Too much water will be messy and will provide an unsatisfactory end product.

3) Pour the matcha mix over the coconut oil, and mix till evenly distributed.

4) Add sugar till desired consistency. More sugar, more exfoliant.

5) Wait for the mix to thicken as it sets.

6) Apply to skin, wash away with warm water.

If you want to try your own matcha scrub, you can order your own 30g tin here.

What Is L-Theanine?

By Eric Brinkman

What Is L-Theanine?

What is L-theanine? Well, L-theanine is often noted as the secret to keeping a zen state. How did monks practice meditating for hours on end? Some think l-theanine was their secret.

Let's break it down: it's an amino acid, and one of the active ingredients in matcha green tea powder.  It can be compared to lavender, or lemon balm, although those can make you sleepy, this naturally occurring substance relaxes you, without sedation. How cool is that?

Why is L-Theanine so important? If you have a busy schedule and have become accustomed to coffee or other sources of caffeine, you'll know the feeling of being anxious or feeling an "edge". The burn out is almost unavoidable. L-theanine is known to diminish this "edge", leaving you energetic with no crash, a necessity in this world.

100-200mg of l-theanine should be taken to get a the recommended daily dose. You can get your fix by purchasing l-theanine in bulk, or exclusively from green tea/matcha consumption. It's also considered to be one of the more rare amino acids in existence, which also makes it the most valuable.

Who needs l-theanine? It's popular with tech start ups, and anyone in the tech industry who is accustomed to long hours and hard work. It is also useful for those that want to get a few more hours in their day, without being stimulated so much they can't fall asleep. Whether you are a young parent, a yoga teacher, or auto mechanic, you'll likely benefit from giving it a try.

When is our favourite time for l-theanine? We like to drink matcha tea after dinner, as the l-theanine  settles us  enough that sleep is still possible upon laying down.

Curious to give it a try? Use discount code ltheanine at checkout for 20% off. Just click here.

How Much Daily Green Tea will Help You Lose Weight ?

By Team Matcha

How Much Daily Green Tea will Help You Lose Weight ?

You've probably heard that green tea will help you lose weight. Well, I can tell you first hand this is true.  For instance, I first started a regime of drinking 2 pots of green tea a day for 10 days straight. This combined with daily exercise yielded maximum results.  Did it work, you ask? Yes it worked. I saw and felt a difference in my body appearance and mental clarity, but drinking that much tea was annoying and hard on my body.

"But, but, I Can't Physically Drink 10 Ten Cups Of Green Tea A Day!?"

Whoa there, don't jump to conclusions, Let's Matcha has the solution. All the benefits of 10 cups of green tea in one glass. Typically, drinking 10 cups a day would allow you to stay within the daily recommended intake of caffeine, but that isn't necessary if you're drinking matcha. Matcha is a condensed form of green tea which boosts metabolism, and cuts hunger cravings. Typically, one glass of matcha is the equivalent to 10 cups of normal brewed green tea.

4 Main Benefits Include:

  1. no jitters
  2. no crash
  3. no staining of teeth
  4. low acidity

By replacing coffee with matcha, you'll begin to feel results within the first few days, and see them after 2 weeks of regular use. If my personal experience with matcha isn't enough, this article talks of a lady who lost 25 lbs in 3 months by drinking matcha.

In order to achieve this you'll need to implement a daily intake of ECGCs. With 3-4 tbl spoons of match a day, you could lose up to 3lbs in 12 weeks. Of course, everybody is different, but regular studies show this rate of consumption can have positive results

Get ready for Summer, and join the matcha revolution. Order your matcha today and use limited time discount code: matchify for 15% off your order.
